Following the rise of her club night and promoting work in her hometown of Dublin, and a brief dalliance in the world of TV, Cici Cavanagh sought to pursue music professionally.
Early on in her career she was well known as a DJ on the Irish club scene and festival route, warming up crowds of 2000 or more before big House and Techno acts such as Justin Robertson and Sven Vath in the Red Bull Electric Ballroom at Oxegen Festival and playing marathon sets on the Vodafone stage at Electric Picnic.
Cici honed her personal style of DJing with her weekly residency at top Dublin venue Lost Society, where she would play a unique blend of House and Techno to diverse dance floors over the space of three years.
It was a move to Ibiza in 2012 that saw Cici immersed in the international Electronic music scene which lead her to play a monthly residency at the musically avant-garde Kehakuma, in Space Ibiza and for Serkal at Paco Osuna’s Mindshake at Sankeys Ibiza. Last summer she continued that tradition by playing a monthly residency at Blue Marlin’s ‘Pop You Up’ events and Cosmic Pineapple parties at pikes hotel.
Cici currently lives and plays in London regularly from Fashion Week parties to Warehouse Raves. From Global Gathering to Lovebox to Gottwood, Cici is undeniably able to adjust her musical aesthetic to any surrounding. Tipped by Pacha Magazine as ‘One to Watch’, and by Ushuaia magazine as a “future music star”, Cici graduated from Point Blank music school in 2015 and has been committed to studio work ever since with an EP release planned for summer 2017.
