Extra Day Added to Secret Solstice 2016 + Next Lineup Announcement

We have two pieces of news for you to make this week an incredible one, including something we’ve never done before. So without any further ado, let’s get on with it…

Firstly, we’re adding an extra day to Secret Solstice 2016 – and you get that extra day of partying, music, and good vibes in Iceland’s midnight sun added. Yep, you read that right. The extra day added means the event will now start on Thursday the 16th of June 2016, running until Sunday, the 19th of June 2016.

In short, if you’ve already bought a ticket to our 2016 event, or are about to buy one, the festival is now four days.

We’re sure you have a lot of questions about this announcement, but before we answer them, here’s something else…

“I bought a 3 day festival pass. Can I come for 4 days?”

Yes. Your three day pass is valid for the entire festival weekend.

“Do I need to pay anything extra for the additional day?”

No. Because we love you all, we’re including this in the existing ticket price.

“Do I need to update my ticket at all if I’ve already bought one?”

No. Your existing Secret Solstice 2016 ticket will automatically be valid for four days, even if it says 3-Day Pass or similar on it.

“When does the festival start now?”

Gates are now expected to open at midday on Thursday, the 16th of June 2016.

“Will the event still end at the same time?”

Yes. Four days means we’ll still close the event late on Sunday evening.

“I’m coming from overseas, and my travel/accommodation has been booked around the previous dates. What do I do?“

Most people coming to Iceland for Secret Solstice arrive on Thursday, so hopefully you land early enough to make the most of the additional day. If you’re arriving on Friday however, you’ll have to either change your travel plans, otherwise you’ll unfortunately miss the extra day. We would have loved to give you all advance warning of us adding this, but it wasn’t something we had planned since the start. Hopefully this change doesn’t negatively affect you, only adds something extra to your festival weekend.

“What happens if I bought a ticket via Festicket, or another ticketing partner? Will I get the extra day?”

Yes, you will get the extra day at no extra cost. It doesn’t matter who you bought your ticket from, you will get the additional day with your existing ticket.

“Is the extra day valid for VIP, and Óðinn Super-VIP tickets?”

Yes. All festival passes will have the additional day added.

“Are you the most awesome festival on Earth for giving us an extra day?”

Yes. Yes we are.
