[av_toggle title=’Wait a minute? 24 hour sunlight?’ tags=”]
Because of how close Iceland is situated to the arctic circle, the nation gets the full on effect of seasonal changes on a unique scale. During the summer we get long, sunny days and, as expected, winter comes with complete darkness.

[av_toggle title=’Norse mythology? Tell me more?’ tags=”]
The summer solstice was a time of bounty in the lives of the Nordic nations and a cause for celebration. The Norse mythology and religion commonly known as the Asatru is deeply rooted in natural symbolism.

[av_toggle title=’Where is it?’ tags=”]
The festival is set in Laugardalur around Engjavegur 8, 104  in Icelands capital city Reykjavik and is situated close to the city center.

[av_toggle title=’When does the festival take place?’ tags=”]
The festival takes place from the 17th-19th of June 2016 over summer solstice. During that period Iceland has 24-hour sunlight which definitely provides a very unique atmosphere for the festival.

Iceland uses it‘s own currency called krónur which you can exchange most foreign currencies for at all local banks or the foreign exchange at Keflavik airport. You can actually get quite a bang for your buck as Iceland really isn‘t that expensive anymore.
