Fræbbblarnir [IS]

Fræbbblarnir are the first band from the Icelandic Punk / New Wave scene in Iceland starting in 1978. Quit (or suspended) in 1983 to resume in 1996. Fræbbblarnir have relreased five full LP’s as well as a number of EP’s, singles, movie soundtracks and projects with other musicians.

The first album, “Viltu nammi væna?”, from 1980 is inevitably included in top lists of Icelandic music history. The song “Bjór” is an “anthem” of the era for many of the generation.

An album, “Í hnotskurn”, released in 2015 got excellent reviews, an album of the year for veteran critic Halldor Ingi Andresson and top reviews without exception.
