South-London based MOBO award-winning rap group Section Boyz have seen their popularity soar throughout the UK hip-hop/rap scene and the collective are slowly becoming a force to be reckoned with within the industry. Fresh from winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ at this year’s MOBO Awards in November, the crew have also been longlisted for the prestigious BBC Music Sound of 2016.
Their own brand of music is exciting and fresh, combined with intelligent bars their authentic UK sound makes them stand out from other groups. All members can offer something different when it comes to their music, after taking social media by storm on 25th September 2015 the group released their first mixtape ‘Dont Panic’ which entered at Number 36 independently, making their first UK Albums Chart entry.
Since their release, they have gained the attention off some of the biggest music artists across the globe, namely Kanye West, Rita Ora, Skepta and Drake who premiered arguably the biggest UK rap/Grime track of 2015 ‘Lock Arff’ on his OVO’s Apple Beats 1 radio show.
Having already performed at major shows and festivals such as Wireless Festival, Boiler Room, MOBO Awards, Block Story and many more. 2016 is looking to be a very successful and exciting year for Section Boyz.
