XXX Rottweiler [IS]

XXX Rottweiler released their debut album in 2001. Their aggressive lyrics take on every aspect of Reykjavik´s daily life. With rough flows on hard politics and long weekends they created massive discussions all over Iceland and turned many youngsters on to rap music. They, along with Sesar A, are the pioneers of Icelandic spoken hiphop with classic hits and fresh tracks released on the regular as well as reaching platinum and gold sales.

Recently the XXX Rottweiler debut album was chosen “the 18. best album in the history of Icelandic music” by the readers of Icelands major newspaper Morgunblaðið with Sigurrós topping the list. They’ve not only made nominated music but nominated videos as well, one of them starring Pornstar Ron Jeremy. They’ve starred in MTV’s hip hop show The Lick and various other shows on major TV-stations like Arte and more. XXX Rottweiler have opened concerts for such groups as 50 cent & G-Unit, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Bloodhound Gang, Nina Sky, Hudson Mohawke, Dominique Young, Unique, Loop Troop, Tinie Tempah as well as playing all over Iceland and in Germany and Sweden also. They’ve two albums out, one DVD, plus side projects such as:
