15 Songs We Hope To Hear at Secret Solstice This Year

Where will you be in two weeks? Probably recovering from four days filled with memories of superb and memorable music and most of all good times. To give you a rough idea of what to expect, we’ve put our heads to work, called a fortune teller and laid out some cards, because these are the songs that we think you’re gonna love to hear from our artists this year. Are we perhaps too excited? Yes, we are.

Foo Fighters – Run

Foo Fighters surprised everyone by launching a new song and video last week! We are extremely exited to have these legends headline Secret Solstice and can’t wait to hear them perform the new song ‘Run’ live! The video is directed by Dave Grohl and is quite cool. Check out the video below!

Richard Ashcroft – Break The Night With Colour

Richard Ashcroft was the lead singer and occasional rhythm guitarist of the alternative rock band The Verve from their formation in 1990 until their original split in 1999. Since then he’s been very active and we hope that he’ll perform his hit ‘Break The Night With Colour’ – the title also fits so well with midnight sun and all that. The song is from his third solo album, ‘Keys to the World’ from 2006.

Daði Freyr – Is This Love?

Daði Freyr became an instant hit in Iceland after his magnificent performance at the Eurovision national finals this year. At the moment he lives and writes music in Berlin, Germany but will play for you his catchy tunes on Iceland’s Independence Day at Secret Solstice. It would be a shame if you wouldn’t perform his hit, ‘Is This Love?’, the tune that is probably still stuck in our heads since we heard it the first time.

The Prodigy – Firestarter

Like always it’s soooo hard to pick one song from Prodigy’s long list of breathtaking tunes. But somebody’s gotta do it so here it is. We’ll just have to be very predictable and say ‘Firestarter’. Of course. It was the first single from their third album, ‘Fat Of The Land’ released in 1996. Were you even born then?

And we hope you agree with us that the music video that comes with this tune is probably the best one out there. It even won a Grammy in 2000 for ´Best Short Form Music Video’. The song is their first single from their third album ‘There Is Nothing Left to Lose’, released in 1999.
