Final lineup announcement and The Warehouse Project
We’re extremely excited to share with you that we’ve now added 37 new artists to our already packed lineup including legendary American hip-hop recording artist Ab-Soul. Yes, you heard correctly, we have officially dropped our 3rd and final lineup announcement for 2017 bringing this years edition of the festival to a total of 132 artists which will take over Reykjavík between the 15th and the 18th of June 2017.
With an already massive range of international artists scheduled to perform, including Rick Ross, Big Sean, Anderson Paak and now Ab-Soul, the Icelandic hip-hop scene is not far behind with our announcement of the unforgettable innovators of XXX Rottweiler scheduled to take the stage, our very own Scandinavian superstar Sturla Atlas and the female rap duo Cyber which have been stirring the Reykjavík rap scene since their debut EP, ‘Crap’ was released last year.
We are also super excited to announce the Icelandic punk band Tappi Tíkarrass, formed in 1980 and widely considered the first serious music project of now world renowned singer Björk. With their last public performance dated in 1987, their appearance at Secret Solstice should be a comeback of a lifetime.
But fear not dance-lovers because the illustrious Warehouse Project will be taking over Hel, our very own palace of sins, on Saturday, June 17th from 9pm with special guests:
Krysko & Greg Lord [UK]
Nitin b2b Droog [US]
Stepping into Hel, the specialised night-time venue of the festival, is an experience for itself and definitely not something to miss if you enjoy a good rave.
