We’ve already announced this years magnificent line-up and to make your planning easier we want to introduce you to the music that will be featured on each of the five different stages. See which acts play where and when to plan your schedule so you don’t miss out on your favorites. Keep on reading and we’ll guide you through the whole thing, depending on your musical taste. We’ll also give you a preview of the music you can hear at each venue/stage so that you can get a rough idea of what to expect. Thank God for Spotify.

Thursday June 15th 2017
VALHALLA & HEL
The only places you’ll have to divide your time on day #1 are Valhalla and Hel. Gates open at 5PM and the act that gets the privilege of being called the first act of Secret Solstice 2017 is JoaqoPelli followed by Fox Train Safari. The Icelandic Legends in SSSól will then rock the stage at 8PM and at the same time you can head over to HEL’s takeover by Ibiza’s leading party crew, Circoloco. First DJ on stage is Tania Vulcano at 8PM followed by The Black Madonna. At 10:30PM you’ll get the chance to witness the infamous Chaka Kahn and her greatest hits. Then you can head over to Hel for Seth Troxler and Kerri Chandler and finish the evening with a bang.

Friday June 16th 2017
VALHALLA
The list of acts on our main stage Valhalla on June 16th is not too shabby. Opening the main stage at 3PM is the Icelandic band Hórmónar. Warm up for Richard Ashcroft and Foo Fighters by listening to Icelandic acts Agent Fresco and Högni. Foo Fighters have been at it since 1995 and haven’t forgotten how to rock and roll!
GIMLI
If you’re into hip hop there are some great acts on our second stage Gimli from 3PM with Seint, Alvia Islandia, GKR and so many more. Roots Manuva and Pharoahe-Monch + DJ RD will then finish the evening at Gimli and after that you’re able to catch some rays of the midnight sun.
FENRIR
If you’re an early bird, you will be able to head over to Fenrir stage at 1PM to catch Icelandic acts Holy Hrafn, Gervisykur and Skrattar before ending the night with hip hop acts BIRNIR and Shades of Reykjavík. If you’re a hip hop fan, Fenrir will be your favorite stage on Friday!
ASKUR
Askur stage will be run by talented DJ’s every day from noon until 11:30PM. Headliners at Askur this evening will be a special guest from 8PM and Klose One will be spinning his tunes from 10PM.
HEL
Stepping into Hel, the specialised night-time venue of the festival, is an experience in itself and definitely not something to miss if you enjoy a good rave. Hel is curated by Anjunadeep on Friday the 16th with a range of great DJ’s performing from 9PM. Dusky, a London production duo Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell will close the evening. The fast-rising duo has asserted themselves as leaders of the UK underground and are headlining at HEL Friday night. Don’t miss them!
Saturday June 17th 2017
VALHALLA
Today is Iceland’s Independence Day as we celebrate our 73 years of independence. If you’re not going to a parade today, you can grab a hot dog and see Icelandic singer Soffía Björg at Valhalla stage at 3PM. She’ll be warming up for Rhye, the Icelandic hip hop group XXX Rottweiler, Hildur and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Get hyped for UK heavyweights Foreign Beggars followed by the legends from The Prodigy, who headline Valhalla on Saturday with their catalogue of amazing hits. The Valhalla stage is the place to be this evening so show up early if you want the best view.
GIMLI
From 2PM you can see some great hip hop artists and more at Gimli stage. Kilo, Mæliginn and Cyber will rock the crowd before Úlfur Úlfur, Princess Nokia and Sturla Atlas perform. UK acts Novelist and Youngr will then finish the night and give a warm welcome to Icelandic hip hop artist Aron Can who will be performing at 10:45PM.
FENRIR
Fenrir stage will give you a good mix of hip hop and alternative, starting at 1PM with Icelandic artist Andartak. You can’t miss Malawian Tay Grin at 6PM who will warm the stage for Arkir, UK acts Ocean Wisdom and Jam Baxter + DJ Sammy B-Side and finally the two Irish/Icelandic half-brothers in Valby bræður who will be the last act at Fenrir stage starting at 10:45PM.
ASKUR
For electronic music lovers Askur will be your favorite place to be during the daytime at Secret Solstice. The Icelandic DJ’s Borg will start playing at noon focusing on delivering left-field house music and club sounds to get you back in action for day three. Festival favorite and DJ extraordinaire Artwork will be joining us again this year and headlining Askur on June 17th at 9PM. He’s also performing at our glacier side event on June 16th, more info here.
HEL
Fear not dance-lovers because the illustrious Warehouse Project will be taking over Hel, our very own palace of sins, on Saturday, June 17th from 7PM with special guests like Krysko & Greg Lord, Kiasmos and Exos.
Sunday June 18th 2017
VALHALLA
The last day of Secret Solstice 2017 is today but fear not, we’ll bid you farewell with some breathtaking acts at Valhalla stage, starting with Dillalude at 3PM who will warm the stage for the Icelandic legends Hr. Hnetusmjör, Emmsjé Gauti and Gísli Pálmi. The raisin at the end of the hot dog (yes, that’s an Icelandic expression “Rúsínan í pysluendanum”) are of course Young M.A and Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals who will bring their best beats before Rick Ross and Big Sean end the last evening at Secret Solstice 2017. You can’t miss out on these artists!
GIMLI
You won’t be disappointed with the line up on Gimli stage this Sunday as you can see VAR at 2PM, followed by the magnificent Icelandic ladies Védís Hervör, Ragnheiður Gröndal, Þórunn Antonía and Ása. Daði Freyr, the electro legend who wrote the Eurovision hit ‘Is This Love?’ earlier this year, will perform at 9PM and warm up for Cymande, the British-based funk music pioneers that you can’t miss!
FENRIR
Fenrir stage will be filled with a mix of different music genres starting at 12:50PM with Icelandic acts Beggi Smári and Captain Syrup. The Icelandic duo Vaginaboys and reggae group Amabadama will own the stage around dinner time and warm up for French electro lady Livia and British-based Maxxi Soundsystem. ASKUR
M E G E N followed by the electronic duo Mogensen are among the first acts performing at Askur on our last day, Sunday June 18th. Last on stage are Soul Clap & Wolf + Lamb ready to bring some funk to Secret Solstice. Don’t miss this duo, they start at 8PM. HEL
Final night at Secret Solstice and taking over HEL is [SCI + TEC] 10 with label head, Dubfire (aka Ali Shirazinia), finishing of the festival with his set starting at midnight. Ali’s drive, talent and intuition have placed him in the top tier of electronic music artists in the world.
